Based on statements given to the Commission, a limited number of people will be asked if they wish to give their statement publicly at one of the Commission's public hearings.

The hearings will allow the Commission to share with the public a representative sample of the statements it has received. Due to time constraints, not everyone who gives a statement to the Commission will be able to speak at a public hearing. However, for those who do wish their statements to be public and are not able to speak at a public hearing, statement givers may also chose to allow the Commission to post their statements on the Commission website as sound files.

The Commission will not post any statement without the statement giver's permission and will not disclose any names or identifying information of those who wish their statements to be kept confidential. This allows the maximum amount of public access to the information provided to the Commission, while respecting the privacy of those who wish their identities to remain confidential.
